Science is a part of many Common Entrance examinations for entrance into many public, private and independent schools at eleven plus or 12+ age .
It is also part of the end of Key Stage Two tests (SATS).
This book contains 10 tests of 50 questions each based on the requirements of the National Curriculum and covering various aspects of science including Physical Processes, Materials and their Properties.
There are also sections on Life Processes and Living Things. Knowledge of all these items will help prepare children for the demands of their science Common Entrance examinations or their SATs tests.
This is a very comprehensive publication making use of a wide variety of question types including questions on fair testing. The language used will give any child additional knowledge to apply to other test situations such as the 11plus exam, 12+ examination or other grammar school selection tests.
No time limit is given and this allows parents to encourage their child to work through the tests at the child's own pace.
As with all Learning Together titles we encourage the involvement of parents to explain the answers to the child. Parental support is crucial to a child's success in their schoolwork.
Preparing for the eleven plus exams, SATs or common entrance exams is no different.
Detachable answers and a comprehensive glossary are included.
**These tests may vary depending on the Local Education Authority or school.**
