Aylesbury High School aim to Inspire every student to seek Challenge, realise their potential and Prepare for the world of today and tomorrow, and this is incorporated into the school motto of ‘Prepare, Challenge and Inspire.

Aylesbury High School students benefit from their education being at the only girls’ grammar in North Buckinghamshire, whilst having the geographical advantage of having a brother school, Aylesbury Grammar School (AGS), literally across the road. This ‘best of both’ gives an unparalleled breadth of opportunities and experiences that allows students to thrive.

Aylesbury High School's academic success is long-established, with excellent exam results that place them amongst the best schools in the county and the country – and they are a school that constantly looks to improve.

Aylesbury High School values of Confidence, Respect, Engagement, Aspiration, Teamwork and Enjoyment are embodied in ‘CREATE’ and the staff want all of the school community to experience, develop and demonstrate these both within the curriculum and through an extensive co-curricular offering. Ofsted highlighted the students’ outstanding personal development, the excellent Sixth Form and the rich and stimulating curriculum. The very wide range of subjects offered (over 25 subjects at both GCSE and A level) means that particular aptitudes can be accommodated and students are properly equipped to move on to university and life after secondary school. Visitors to the school often remark on the friendly, purposeful and caring atmosphere, and are invariably impressed by the students’ attitude to learning.

Aylesbury High School students regularly amaze and delight staff with their sporting successes (Regional and National Finalists in a number of sports) and their achievements in the performing arts, technology and many other areas. As well as working with the local community, Aylesbury High School has an international outlook and all students regularly participate in trips, exchanges and expeditions on five continents.
