About the School

Wirral Grammar School for Girls has one vision - For all girls to reach their full potential in a healthy, happy and stimulating environment.

Wirral Grammar School for Girls has been a Grammar School educating girls aged 11-18 since 1931 and now have just over 1,000 pupils, 300 of them in the sixth form. In August 2011 it became an Academy.
their most recent OFSTED report judged Wirral Grammar School for Girls to be an outstanding school in all areas. Ofsted inspectors commented:

Exam results are consistently high, and well above the national average with 98% - 100% of pupils achieving at least 5 grade 9 - 5 GCSE passes year on year and pupils achieve excellent ‘A’ Level results.

Wirral Grammar School for Girls has topped local and national league tables for the past ten years. The school is proud of the varied clubs and societies that it provides. Wirral Grammar School for Girls has highly successful sports teams, orchestras, and choirs. Many subject departments organise visits both locally and abroad. Girls support many charities and there are thriving links with local businesses and the community.

Wirral Grammar School for Girls is not only achieving outstanding academic results but there is a busy, lively buzz of activity and learning.
